Campus Locations
The University of Waikato, established in 1964, is a public institution of higher learning and research in New Zealand. The main campus covers an area of 158 acres. The University of Waikato has 150 undergraduate and graduate programs spanning over 9 faculties.
Arts, social science, mathematics, education, health, business, language and mass communication, engineering, and management are only a few of the programs available at the institution.
International students need to hold a valid New Zealand student visa to study at the University of Waikato. Students can apply for a student visa to New Zealand through The Ceylon Educo Visa Consulting.
Intake Dates
The university has a tri semester intake in February, May and November.
Country specific requirement
GCE ALs with three C grades at least complete one year of tertiary-level study at a recognized institution.
Undergraduate students not meeting the academic requirements may enroll in the Foundation Studies program offered by Waikato Pathway College. Upon successful completion of the Foundation Studies program, students are assured admission to the majority of undergraduate programs at the University of Waikato. The program has three intakes throughout the year. All New Zealand universities recognize the program.

The Academic English Preparation Course is intended for students who need to enhance their English language abilities in order to undertake an academic degree at the University of Waikato. The Academic English Language program allows students immediate acceptance into degree programs without the requirement for additional IELTS assessment.

The University of Waikato has two campuses, one in Hamilton and one in Tauranga.
